DATE: February 13, 2007
TIME:

LOCATION:

SPEAKER:
Kara Lennox
TOPIC: The Sixth Sense: All About Psychics

Whether they’re foretelling the future, chasing down ghosts, or working with the police to find a missing person or catch a murderer, a psychic character can make for an exciting plot. But a lack of understanding on the writer’s part can result in an inaccurate portrayal. In this informative workshop, you’ll learn about the different types of psychics, from palm readers to trance mediums, and how they glean information unavailable to the average person. Learn how they work with law enforcement to help detectives solve crimes as well as other functions a psychic can serve in your story. Whether you’re a believer in the paranormal or a confirmed skeptic, this presentation will help you to write about psychic characters with confidence. You might even discover you’re a little bit psychic yourself. Workshop presenter Kara Lennox will bring some common tools employed by psychics and show how they’re used. She will also give Tarot readings before and after the workshop for anyone who’s interested, as time permits.
